Position:
Personal Development Instructor Part Time Pool
The AHC Counseling Department is accepting applications to establish a pool of qualified candidates for part-time Personal Development instructors for possible future teaching assignments at all campus locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
Masters in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, or career development, marriage family therapy, or marriage, family and child counseling,
OR
the equivalent.

Certain combinations of education, experience, and other accomplishments in the field may be judged by the District as equal to the stated minimum qualifications for this position. Candidates who feel they possess such equivalent qualifications are encouraged to complete the Equivalency Form and provide appropriate documentation of their qualifications.
SALARY:
Lecture Rates: $46.15 to $70.67 per hour depending upon education and experience
Lab Rates: $40.19 to $61.53 per hour depending upon education and experience
Activity Rates: $29.70 to $46.35 per hour depending upon education and experience
SCREENING PROCESS:
A committee will screen all applications. Meeting minimum qualifications does not assure a candidate an interview. Therefore, it is important that the application be thorough and detailed. Applicants will be assessed on the breadth and depth of education, training, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities. A limited number of applicants will be invited for an interview and short teaching demonstration at the college at their own expense. Interviewed candidates may be asked to complete job related exercises. The district reserves the right to cancel any appointment or to reassign the area of service, extend time limits, reinitiate, or withdraw the recruitment/selection process at any time. Final candidates may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
