In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Job Summary
To serve as a Clinical Coordinator for the College of Graduate Nursing. As Clinical Coordinator, this individual is responsible for coordinating the clinical education of students enrolled in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program. The Clinical Coordinator will participate in college activities and committees related to their job functions.

Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

1. Proficient in software applications including but not limited to MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams as well as video communications (i.e. Zoom) and internet and database applications. Knowledgeable of learning management systems (i.e. Canvas).
2. Able to learn new software, processes, and procedures quickly.
3. Able to maintain confidentiality regarding job assignments and sensitive issues.
4. Able to work with individuals from different professions and levels of training and education both within and outside of the university.
5. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Flexible and adaptable. Enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
8. Able to work evenings/weekends on an as-needed basis to support scheduled program activities and events.
9. Able to travel to clinical sites to develop and/or strengthen preceptor relations.
10. Possess excellent organizational skills.
11. Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Required Qualifications
1. EDUCATION: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the position.
2. EXPERIENCE: Four years of relevant work experience in an academic or business support setting.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree.
Two years experience in clinical placement coordination and/or experience in nursing programs.

1. Clinical Coordination
a. Coordinate clinical placement for students in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program.
b. Participate in all PMHNP clinical meetings and other program meetings as appropriate.
c. Work with the Program Director and Clinical Advisors to help support the GN 7570 - Clinical Experiences course.

a. Act as an ambassador for the college and program, promoting the enhancement of current clinical partnerships.
b. Facilitate the continued expansion of clinical sites for prospective students, and oversee appropriateness of all clinical training sites for students.

3. College Support
a. Coordinate with college Clinical Operations team to maximize clinical placement efforts.
b. Participate in all CGN-wide and other CGN program events requiring "all-hands" staff support.
c. Participate in college-wide meetings such as monthly CGN Collaborative.
d. Provide representation on appropriate CGN committees such as the Clinical Operations Committee.
e. Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor and Dean in support of the college and university.
