The Medical College of Georgia is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 260 students per class. The educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state and a second four-year campus in Athens in partnership with the University of Georgia. MCG's expanding partnerships with physicians and hospitals across Georgia currently provides about 350 sites where students can experience the full spectrum of medicine, from complex care hospitals to small-town solo practices. MCG and its teaching hospitals also provide postgraduate education to more than 500 residents and fellows in 50 different Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-approved programs. Our researchers and clinicians focus on what most impacts the health of Georgia's and America's children and adults, including cardiovascular biology and disease, cancer, neurosciences and behavioral sciences, public and preventive health, regenerative and reparative medicine, personalized medicine, and genomics. Our physician faculty also share their expertise with physicians and patients at about 100 clinics and hospitals statewide.

Job Summary
The Associate Director of Admissions position will have oversight and involvement (under the direct guidance of the Director of Admissions) in all duties of the MCG Office of Admissions with a focus on data management and development and implementation of strategic planning for recruitment and retention of MCG initiative groups. This position will directly participate in long-term strategic planning for recruitment and retention of MCG initiative groups. This position will directly participate in long-term strategic planning, recruitment, and marketing strategies, and maintenance of the admissions database (AMP) with appropriate transition of this information to Banner. The Associate Director for Admissions will develop and implement strategic planning to increase class diversity through recruitment and retention of initiative groups. This position also oversees an organized team of Admission Counselors who are responsible for external and internal recruitment events, application processing, and applicant counseling. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining the Integrity and coordination of the annual interview process and serving as the liaison for faculty interviewing.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
Develop and implement strategic planning to increase the MCG applicant pool and retention of MCG's initiative groups (students underrepresented in medicine, URM, and from underserved areas within the state). Increase class diversity by recruiting and retaining MCG initiative groups. Increase knowledge of and recruit students into MCG's new 3+ program. Strengthen relations with Pre-Health advisors throughout the state of GA and build a pipeline of Student support. Serves as the "Interim Director of Admissions" in the absence of the Director of Admissions. Oversees the scheduling, logistics, and Integrity of the Multiple Mini-Interview (MMI) process. (MMI)s are conducted twice weekly from September through January. Over 600 students, which will increase to over 700 students due to class expansion, will receive 8 structured, short interviews for a total of 5600 interviews being scheduled. This position will coordinate the interview day and the scheduling of Faculty and students as well as serve as an Interviewer in the event a Faculty member is unable to participate. Coordinates the processing and scheduling of interviews for dual degree applicants of the MD/PhD and BS/MD programs. Provides supervision and consultation to the Senior Admissions Counselor and his or her team of Counselors to ensure applicant recruitment, processing, and counseling goals are met. Also provides supervision of Continuous Quality Improvement of counselor workflow. Plans and executes the annual travel plan of the Office of Admissions. Works collaboratively with the Director of Admissions to plan and implement the Annual Strategic Recruitment Plan. Serves as the primary URM contact for the Office of Admissions. Manages all aspects of Admissions-based databases (AMP, Banner, CRM software, etc.). Collaborates with DCM to produce all print and electronic marketing materials (recruitment videos, admissions bulletin, fact sheet, and recruitment brochure.). Oversees in-person and virtual recruitment events such as First Look Tours and Lunch and Learn. Assists in planning, organization, and production of Revisit Day. Assist the Associate Dean for Admissions, the Administrative Director, and the Director of Admissions with any additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree with 2 years of experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days Mon-Fri. *Work outside of normal business hours may be required.*
Pay Grade: 17
Salary Minimum: $44,967- $55,000 Annually.
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
